1. Nutrition, always eat (pre and post) workout something that your bady can use, stay away from heavy high fat foods. Your muscles are going to need energy to sustain them, and afterward the nutrients you take in will help in reapairing them as well. (Bananas for potassium)
2. STRETCHING, cannot amplify the imortance enough. Always stretch both pre and post workout, this allows your muscles to settle down and relax a bit.
3. Breathing and proper form during your exercise, will allow your body to use energy more economically, therefore allowing less strain and tension. Breathe from your stomach, back, fill your lungs.
4. COOL DOWN, it is wise to allow yourself a few reps to cool down, you do not want to immedialtely cease any activity abruptly particularly cardio without giving your body a chance to calm, think of it like tapping your breaks rather than slamming on them.
TIGER BALM, DIT DA JOW, I use tiger balm religously smells like poo but works, what your attempting to prevent is something called Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness(D.O.S.M.) DOSM is natural and normal but there are steps to minimize it, hot bath , compress.... and rest. I hope this helps, Happy Training.
